On January 1st 2020, none of us could have predicted what was to come in the year ahead. As the children finally return to school and we adjust to the new normal, we are pleased to say that APJ has continued to service our customers throughout the pandemic. In these ever-changing circumstances, we know that our customers need the reliability that we have always delivered so we have taken steps to adjust our business.
We have carried out a full risk assessment at our UK headquarters on the south coast. We are fortunate at APJ to have premises that allow us to spread out and adequately socially distance in our warehouse and offices. We have also utilized the latest technology to enable staff to work from home. When we do need to enter the building, this is done on a rota basis with clear cleaning protocols in place in line with government guidance. We have changed our routes internally so that there are one-way systems to minimize contact with other team members should they be on site.
Despite adjusting to these changes, we have ensured that APJ has been able to service its regular customers with the high standards of customer service they have come to expect. Our Sales team have continued to work hard throughout lockdown to provide solutions and grow our business. Our supply chain is robust, and we hold stock on site appropriate to demand managed through our efficient stock systems. APJ prides itself on next day delivery on stock items as we know our customers need to ensure they can function effectively. We believe that by pulling together with our key partnerships that we can ensure the economy is able to ride out the storm.
In the current situation we know that you need to access information from us by practicing social distancing. That is why we use our wealth of experience to ensure our customers have the answers they need by picking up the phone and discussing product requirements. When appropriate we can send you technical datasheets, but we are always on hand to go through more detailed needs. It’s because we continually listen to our customers and evolve based on their needs that we can consistently offer high standards of technical consultation.
APJ is committed to continual supply and distribution chain. We have remained open throughout lockdown and have been able to adapt with the measures we have put in place. The pandemic is an ever-evolving situation, so we all need to stay abreast of current developments but at the same time remain optimistic and positive. We have all sacrificed so much and feel sure the UK is committed to staying safe whilst continuing to keep the economy energized. We have the back up of strong relationships with reliable manufacturers who have worked alongside us for years, so we look forward to continuing to serve all our customers.
